In the mean time, high-speed testing of the car is done at Nurburgring Circuit in Germany, and other top secret locations in southern Europe. It was during this series of test runs that the One-77 recorded a 220.007mph (354.86kmh) top speed. With that, the super-car closes in on being fastest car in the British marque’s history.

The new Aston Martin has been engineered to deliver an incredible amount of power as well as performance. It is powered by a 7.3-litre V12 engine which produces a breathtaking 700 to 740 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. These figures are well ahead of the McLaren F1’s 627 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque; though it edges the One-77 when it comes to speed.
